A Quilt in the Making

Once I began working on this quilt, I couldn't wait to show everyone. I am in love with it, and so are a few employees who have seen a sneak peak! So in anticipation of the finished quilt, I decided to show you some scraps. What do you think, isn't it lovely ;)

We Love Australian Designers

One our favorite designers from Australia is Melly & Me. We just love all of the fun and unique stuffed animals they design, like Magoo (a monkey), Phoebe (an elephant), Mrs. Perkins (a giraffe), and more! But the most recent release by Melly & Me is a wonderful book full of projects called Kaleidoscope. Our absolute favorite project in the book is this darling backpack! What little girl wouldn't want this for school?!? Nancy made the model up for the store, and used the most darling Japanese prints! The picture doesn't do it justice, you have got to come in and see it for yourself!

I LOVE SEWING!

I just love it when a project turns out as well as you hoped! I decided to make a gift for my daughter to give to one of her close friends on her birthday. I must say that I really enjoyed sewing this skirt! The pattern is called Snowflake Skirt by Butterfly Kisses. It was so easy to follow and was quick to make. Best of all, I used fabric from my stash! Wahoo, I really do use my fabric :) This pattern is a must have for your collection! (For all of our out-of-State customers, I will add this to the website as soon as possible!)

I am in love with the hand-made cards that we recently started carrying. Each one is so unique. One series of cards look like aprons, who can resist that? I love the artwork on the old patterns (old is obvious by the 35 cent price). Don't these ladies just look fresh and happy.
