Flower Sugar Sewing Caddy

In the store Thursday is my new Flower Sugar Sewing Caddy pattern. This new armchair caddy has plenty of pockets for holding your sewing accessories. One is even large enough to hold that sewing essential, the remote control. I just fell in love with Lecien's Flower Sugar fabric line and knew that it had to have a place in my sewing studio. Yes, I call my sewing room it my "Studio" because it sounds so much more fun, don't you agree!

After finishing my armchair caddy I wanted a splash more of this fabric in my studio so I made a pillow from a couple of pieces of the fabric and the end of a pillow case my grandmother had embroidered. So much more fun than keeping the pillow case folded up in a drawer. I know she would love it!

We're Baaaack!

WOW! I think those were the most exhausting five days of my life! I always love attending Quilt Market, but I come home needing a few days to recover - not complaining though ;) We had so much fun looking at all of the new designs from all of the talented designers in the industry! We were able to bring back so many new patterns, books, models and more! So come into the store and see all the latest and greatest from Fall Quilt Market.

Can't wait to see you!

Holly

Oh, and we loved the new designer for Moda fabrics, Kate Spain! Her new line Verna is FABULOUS and will be available in the Spring.

Day Two of Fall Quilt Market

The first of two things we found today at Quilt Market that we love, is this DARLING boy quilt made from the new book by Hatched & Patched. The book is filled with great projects to make for the little boys in our lives, and I for one cannot wait to make something for mine!

The one thing that took our breath away, were the cutest animals and pastries made from felt. The company Seven Islands, Inc. demonstrated how they make their amazingly detailed pastries, and we cannot wait to share this technique with all of you!

Make sure to check back tomorrow for more great things we are sure to find!

SAMPLE SPREE

If you have ever fought the crowds at a sale you aint seen nothin' yet.
Moda is the place for all fabric fenatics, yes shop owners are as crazy as anyone about fabric and they will fight like a pride of hungry lions to get that Moda fabric bundle before the're gone. I like to send Holly in for the kill and she always comes out victorious. Believe me that is no time for being shy so I hang back and just keep my arms open for her to throw me the bundles.
I also had a table for sample spree where I sold kits for my Pumpkin Pie and new Christmas pie pin cushions. Sample spree went fronm 8 - 10 pm and by 9 pm I was sold out of both. I also showed my Paper Doll play patterns as well as a couple of other new things.....can't wait for you go see my "Hats off to Santa" table runner. It will be in the store Tuesday. Here is a little bit of a sneak peak.

Thanks for checking back. Tomorrow is another busy day and hopefully more fun tid bits to share.

We're off!

Holly, my mom and I have landed in the land of plenty. Plenty of inspiration, temptations and money to be spent! Yes, we're here in Houston Texas for FALL QUILT MARKET! Today was a day of travel and preparation for what is to come. Tomorrow the fun begins with classes, booth set up and SAMPLE SPREE!

I am excited (OK, more like paniced) about exhibiting my quilt and embroidery designs. Here is a sneak peak at my new block of the month "When I Grow Up". A follow up to my Paper Doll Play, but this time a nostalgic look at what little boys dream of being. I hope you like it.

Check back daily, Holly and I will be posting photos and teasing you with all the goodies to come.
