Day Two of Favorite Things Week

Let's see, hmmmm......my favorite item. That is a hard decision for me, because I love all my notions! The newest thing we have in the store is a 2 1/2" x 18 1/2" non-slip Creative Grid ruler. I love smaller rulers like this one, because they are so easy to grab and not as cumbersome (big word) to use. It is also good to replace your rulers once in a while to make sure you have sharp edges. Sometimes I cut a little shaving off the edges when I am cutting - purely accidental (ha, ha!).

This looks like a nice addition to the rulers I already have. I have "cut" a little off of a couple of my rulers too. Ooops!

I guess it's better to cut off the edge of the ruler than to cut off the edge of the fingers! Nice rulers!

I love Creative Grid rulers - I've found them the easiest to read of all the rulers I've used! Thanks for the tip on the 2 1/2" size!

I've never used one. I'll definitely have to check it out!

A girl can't have too many rulers. It is another sickness I think. BUT, they all have their uses. All of mine are Omnigrid--haven't tried the Creative Grid. What makes them better do you think?

I'm still borrowing a lot of my mom's tools while I build up my own collection. I'd love something like this to add to what I have!

I only have a few rulers since I'm new to sewing, but these look awesome. I'll have to give them a try.

I'm just getting started and love new ideas. The ruler is "outstanding."

Looks interesting...I will have to come check it out.

I have a small square one and love it, I also understand about the big ones being so cumbersome. The only time I use the big one is to strips.

You can never have enough rulers! And you can't go wrong with a Creative Grid ruler!

Now that sounds like a very nice size ruler.

Now this sounds like a ruler I could really use in my collection. Most of my rulers are not the adhesive-backed kind, and they slip sometimes, also they are so well used that the writing is wearing off!

I love the smaller rulers too. I always reach for a small one when it will do. It saves space on your cutting table too.

I love the fact that it is a non slip ruler. Mine are always slipping. Carolyn

Looks like I'll have to get a new ruler. I love the smaller size.

I have an omni grid so I would love to try a different kind!

Nice rulers - the edges on mine are getting pretty shaved up.

Oh this looks like another notion must have!!!!

Wendy you are so right. I just switched to Creative Grid Rulers and am totally in love with them, they don't slip and I love that you seem to see the markings better than other rulers.

Would love to add another Grid to my newest obsession.

I thought I was the only one who shaved off the edges! haha

I'm a notion"a"holic :) Who on this earth couldn't use another ruler ? What a fun idea this Favorite Things you're doing! Love it!

I love the idea of having a smaller ruler for special uses, and the creative grid looks like one I want to have. Thanks for the tips

I must say I don't have that one in my ruler stash yet. Might have to add it soon though. Looks like a perfect size.

This would be a great addition. Never can have enough rulers!

Isn't it great to have the right tools for a project? Then all your energy goes toward the creative endeavor instead of getting those dollar store scissors to cut a yard of fabric in strips (or some other crazy expectation!)

I love creative grid rulers! I don't realize how spoiled I am until I use another brand.

The perfect size for cutting binding! Gotta love a good ruler!

I would love a new ruler!

Having a bit of trouble leaving a post, but hope this one works! It is a common phrase in my household to say we need the right tool to do a good job. And it certainly makes the process more fun, too!

I'm out of touch! I'm usually checking out the fabrics when I visit the store, and have never seen a creative grid ruler. It must be fun to work in the store and see all the new products.

I agree that the small size rulers could be a great addition to anyone's collection. I have a few shaved off edges also.

The ruler looks great! I am going to need to try it out! My current ruler is pretty big!

OHhHHH, that look so nice and I definitely am in need of a new ruler! I'm' just starting and need something of my own--rather than my mother in laws! I'm crossing my fingers!

I want this! (Am I coming on too strong?) More and more comments each day of the contest. Fun idea, and this is a great prize.
